Connecting to Stripe.

To connect your MadeMe account to Stripe go to: My Account > Shop Manager > Settings > Shop Settings > Payment Tab.


Then just click the "Connect to Stripe" button and fill in the short form.


Completing the form is the only thing you need to do to setup Stripe. After you complete the form you are all set to add products and receive payments.


If you already have a Stripe account then just enter your existing Stripe account email address on the form.


Do I need to be a registered business?

No, you don't need to be a registered business to setup a Stripe account.

On the Stripe setup form select "Individual/Sole Trader" for the Type of Business.


For the Business Description box, if you can't see an option that suits your business then just select: Retail > Other Merchandise. Then for your address use your home address. 


Do I need to have my own website?


No, for the "Business Website" field you can enter your MadeMe shop link. Click here for details on how to find your shop link.


Set up two-step authentication


When Stripe asks you to setup "two-step authentication", you can do this by having a text sent to your phone instead of using an "authenticator app" if you wish.

On the two-step authentication page with the QR code on it, underneath the blue "Next" button there is the following text: Use your phone or a security key instead. Click the "Use your phone" link to have a text message sent to your phone to complete the authentication. See below screenshot.
